With treatment plans mapped out using a four-dimensional CT simulator, TrueBeam linear accelerators allows physicians to target tumors anywhere in the body, including the lung, abdomen, breast, head and neck. Stereotactic radiosurgery provides powerful noninvasive treatment that can be delivered even in the most complex areas without affecting the surrounding healthy tissue. Additional treatment options include high-dose-rate brachytherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy and image-guided radiotherapy. The Barnhart Cancer Center’s healing environment features naturally lit radiation therapy suites and areas for meditation, aromatherapy and Healing Touch. An Infusion Center is available for patients who choose to receive treatments with a family member or friend.
